Hey all, Steve and I are jonesin' to play and now that I'm on 1st shift my evenings are free again.

Who's in?

What era shall we fly?

Do we want to try a campaign?

Where can we play?

...the world wonders!

So:
Is there interest in a campaign?

Is every four weeks too often? If so, what is a good schedule?

What period shall we play?
a) BoB late 1940, Spitfires vs Messerschmitts
b) Pacific, early 1942, Wildcats vs Zeros
c) Europe, late 1943, Mustangs vs Messerschmitts
d) Pacific, late 1943, Hellcats vs Zeros

Reply to his thread.

For myself, no interest. Though playing in a big, open room is quite nice. Perhaps it's just me, perhaps I'm getting too old, but M&M seems more complicated to play than it did back in the day. :?

I think you've been spoiled by Ace Combat, O :P

Insert disc, fly, shoot... instant gratification!

HI All...
its me, Steve!
Finally figured out how to sign up!
If a campaign isn't in the works, how about just a few regular games?
Let me know a time and place...
We can always figure out what later...
Steve

Well, my friend Brian would play again, so that's at least four.

Wednesdays and Thursdays are bad for me. How about we schedule one game and see what happens?

Can't make tues......
Assignment with the mayor...sorry
any other times?
Here is what I have for that time period......
My allied focus is more on mid '43 to D-day. I have enough p-47d and P-51b models to have a go at it (by the way, we found out that p-51s have a roll rate of 2, not 4!)
As for the Germans, Sid knows I have EVEYTHING the hun needs to mess up the bomber's day.
I do have a P-51D done up in 31st FG colors. This was my last campaign pilot from my ol Columbus days. I think he has 6 or 7 kills. Started off in Tunisia with Spit Mk Vb , worked through his p-51b days and just got the shiny new p-51d when life changed! IF anyone is interested in this time period, just google 31st Fighter group- they were tough!

Also, I am very interested in early Pacific action. I'm talkin the invasion of Java and the Dutch East Indies (Brewster buffaloes and Curtis Hawks vs Zero 21) or the Air Defence of Darwin (1943- Aussie Spit Vb vs Zero 22 and 32 zekes and hamps)

Let me know guys
As always
Thanks for the interest!

Since CLG is hosting, that leaves Mon & Tues nights unless Fridays are an option.

I'm relatively free any of those three nights.

So Steve, please post when you're available, on those three nights and we'll see if we can make it happen!

For the first session or two, we won't take points off if the squadron markings are off! ;)

How about P-51D v FW-190 D-9 to break us back in

You have a Ta-152 H1 Steve?!? :!:

Mon and Tues would work, barring any assignments, of course. Is it possible to start any earlier or maybe on a Sat morning or afternoon. Also It would be hard to stay until 11:00pm-sorry....(six dogs drive my wife crazy with all thats required to do for them at night)
I have 2 ta-152 unbuilt-
but ya gotta earn 'em first
( I wouldn't mind building them, though)
played a game or two using my Tempest and Spit 14 (drool) against them back in the day!
They sure are pretty

UPDATE PT 2
The 2 TA-152 have to be scrapped-spent all night looking for all the remaining bits (from 10 years ago) and nothing.... poop!
Revell makes a cheap one and I will try that one

SO........
How about p-47s vs fw-190a8 and or 190d.
These p-47s flew escort as well
I was thinking to start somewhere around sept 44.
The jug pilots switched to p-51s later on.
heres a link to see what they look like-
I have 4 almost done-found em all last night, too!!!!!!!

CLG has suggested the 23rd as a make-up date. Tuesday night seems to be our sweet spot.

Weeknights are our best shot, as on Saturdays we have many ongoing campaigns: 2 different RPGs, BWA's Rifts inspired Juicer Game, and the occasisional Battletech or boardgame night.

As far as playing earlier, the earliest I could start is 5:30p, but CLG has the say, as we're using his work place.

I don't have a problem with P-47's... that would give me a chance to join the 1-shot Jug Club! :D 8-)

Sounds good...
let me know how many are planning to show up so i can bring enough stands, etc...
When we get a final count, I'll let you all know the mission

If we have "alot" we will go with with late 43, early '44 p-51b vs bf-109g6, less peeps, we will go with P-51d or p-47 vs late model 109...

(or somethin' different!)

Steve

CLG said startIng @ 5:30 is fine.
So let's set the date and time. I'll pm you the address, StevieG.

I'll also see if BWA or others are interested.

StevieG called today to say that he has to work Tues & Weds night. So I can assume the 23rd should be postponed. I asked if he could post here alternative dates.

BWA is in Pittsburgh as well and is interested in playng.

Is the 30th possble? As I posted before, Tues nights seems to be our best chance.
