Just a friendly reminder in case you haven't gotten the e-mail from GENCON,

Badge Pre-Registration - Opens January 24th
Housing - Opens January 26th
Event Submission - Opens January 13th

Badge Pre-Reg

Badge Pre-Registration will go live at 12:00 noon (Eastern) on Sunday, January 24th. Pre-Registration is only available online through RUBI. Once Pre-Registration closes on June 19th, we will have Extended Registration online for the full onsite price, so be sure to take advantage of the discounted badge rates before prices go up!

Badge Prices
4-Day Badge - $68
VIG Package - $500
1-Day Badge (Thurs-Sat) - $38
1-Day Badge (Sun) - available for purchase Onsite only for $28

For more badge and pricing information, go to our website at www.gencon.com/2010/indy and check out the “Registration” page under “Attend”.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Housing

Last year’s Tuesday housing opening was so successful that we are continuing the trend this year. Hotel Registration will go live at 12:00 noon (Eastern) on Tuesday, January 26th. After purchasing your Gen Con Indy Badge, a confirmation email will be sent to the address registered on your account. The email will include the hotel confirmation code, which is required to submit room requests through the Passkey website and when contacting the Housing Bureau directly. If you do not receive a confirmation email, be sure to check the address of record for your account, then email customerservice(at)gencon.com to have your badge confirmation email resent.

We have partnered with a number of distinctive hotels in the Indianapolis area to secure the best rates possible for Gen Con attendees. Rates vary by hotel, but attendees should find excellent pricing when reserving through the Gen Con Housing Bureau. In the event of rooms selling out, please contact the Gen Con Housing Bureau to be added to the waiting list. The Housing Bureau will be glad to assist you with all of your housing needs.

Gen Con does not provide shuttle service to the convention center from the airport hotels; however some suburban hotels provide limited shuttle services to their guests. Most suburban hotel parking is free of charge, and there is ample downtown parking available near the convention center for those who prefer to drive daily. Please check details with your hotel of choice before booking your room and making local travel arrangements.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Event Submission

It's a new year, and that means that event submission is right around the corner! Event submission begins this Wednesday, January 13th.

Just like last year, there will be three event submission cycles. The first cycle ends on January 29th, the second on February 12th and the third (and final) cycle ends on March 12th, when event submission itself closes. Events submitted in each cycle are reviewed and placed before events in a later cycle, so make sure to submit your events as early as possible to get the best space.

We made a few tweaks to the submission form this year to try to make it a bit simpler, and to make it easier to link GMs directly to their events. If you have any questions or problems with submitting your events, please email us or visit the GM forum.

As always, if you have any feedback on the submission process, or ideas on how to make it faster and easier, please tell us. We are always looking for ways to improve the experience for our event organizers and GMs.

A quick reminder that GenCon housing opens tomorrow (Jan 26) at 12:00 for hotel reservations. If you are interested in booking a hotel the BLOW, GenCon standard Attendee way, than this is the only way to do this.

Make sure if booking a hotel room in this way that you have already purchased your badge and received your housing code to book the room.

Good luck.

I have secured a room at the Staybridge, for Gen Con from weds to sunday. Currently we have Omote, Hannibal and Myself staying there I believe we could fit at least one more. The StayBridge is roughly 1000 feet from the convention center doors and is a great hotel with free breakfast and free happy hour with things like burgers, beers and chicken wings. Plus all the rooms have 2 flat panel TVs and a kitchen.

Whoo hoo! But CF, don't sell the room too much! You're going to have a dozen people requesting to stay with ya a few days before the big con! :ugeek:

But seriously, looking forward to Gen in 2010.

Was there WeeFee at the Staybridge last year?

What are you guys bringing to GenCon, gamewise?

I'll be bringing some
-Castles & Crusades (bring your PHBs!),
-Labyrinth Lord + Advanced Edition Companion,
-Mutant Future RPG (Old-school, Fallout style RPG!),
-AD&D PHB, Robotech Shadow Chronicles RPG,
-Dice, graph paper, pencils, etc.

Should I bring anything else? Should we bring any boardgames or other RPGs?

We're going to PACK THAT CAR FULL OF GAMING STUFF, particularly on the way back. ;)

Also, how many bed are in the hotel room? Should I pick a sleeping bag and stuff like that?

LMK.
